Nas has confirmed the release of his thirteenth studio album, KING’S DISEASE. The LP was produced by Hit-Boy and is due to be released on August 21st. The new single “Ultra Black” offers a foretaste of that.
In a teaser video on Twitter earlier this week, Nas commented on his collaboration with Hit-Boy: “I’ve been trying to record this with Hit-Boy for years.”
In fact, it was not the first time that the two hip-hop greats stood together in the studio for “Ultra Black”. Hit-Boy produced the song “Royalty” from Nas ‘compilation album” The Lost Tapes 2 “in 2019.
Nas started his career in the early nineties and released his debut album ILLMATIC in 1994, which is still considered a milestone in the hip-hop scene. The rapper, whose real name is Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones, then released twelve more albums.
